Caroline’s policy is to only give post opening interviews and does not give interviews prior to opening.

“She (Russell-King) calls herself Calgary’s meat and potatoes, ha ha, pun intended dinner theatre writer. She says she’s ‘the kind of person who always thinks of the bright and witty thing to say to someone 20 minutes after leaving the party’ maybe that’s why her characters have quick silver-tongues she takes time to think about it first. ‘It seems I’m always hearing dialogue. Sometimes the characters actually possess me and won’t let me go until I write all their talking down’ – and lucky for us she does” – Brenda Findley, Theatre Magazine

Mr Fit ItMr Fix It

The script is the star of this show, with effortless undulating rhythms that keep the play snappy and entertaining. Russell-King wrote the piece as homage to Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Neil Simon and although the play won’t win an award of that significance, it’s not hard to imagine that Simon would be pleased by the honour. – Drew Anderson, Fast Forward Magazine

Caroline Russell-King’s script Mr. Fix It is a gem of a romantic comedy and boasts as much talent behind the lights as it does in front…the jokes come fast and furious but so do Russell-King’s insights into what makes a marriage fun, maddening, impossible and salvageable… This is one little diversion you won’t want to miss – four stars. – Louis Hobson, Calgary Sun

Mr. Fix It was written as an homage to Neil Simon, particularly the hotel comedies such as California and Plaza Suite and it certainly does feel like something Neil Simon might have written. Russell-King keeps the tempo tuned up and the quips flying. – Stephen Hunt, Calgary Herald

Scrooge - the Female Version

“Scrooge Spoof hits bulls-eye. Scrooge-The Female Version has been resurrected for a third season at Glenmore Dinner Theatre for a very good reason. Caroline Russell-King’s version of the Dickens classic is sharp-witted, deliciously cynical and outrageously silly” – Lin Connery, Calgary Herald

“Ms Scrooge packed ‘em in. When the final curtain came down on Scrooge the Female Version the Glenmore said goodbye to it’s most successful show in the company’s seven year history” – Louis B. Hobson Calgary Sun

“Scrooge a big hit… Well timed acting and a witty script made Scrooge the Female version, which played last night last night a satisfying serving of dinner theatre… a zany original quality throughout, which was well received by last night audience.” – Eve Edmonds, Medicine Hat News

“Scrooge hands out laughs. Unsophisticated but spirited romp which gives the funny bone a genuine working over ***1/2 “ – Louis B. Hobson the Calgary Sun
